‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Screening With Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman & More Surprise Comic-Con
The (technically) first R-rated film in Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe is rapidly approaching an R-rated record preview night between $35M and $40M+, easily shattering the previous mark held by Deadpool 2 ($18.6M), as Deadline has already reported.

Deadpool & Wolverine's exhibition and tracking estimated an opening of $160 million to $170 million, but a $200 million three-day show wouldn't be out of the question.

Many anticipate that the Levy movie will open with an R-rated record, which will be far higher than Deadpool's $132.4 million opening record.

Tonight, when the lights went up, a standing ovation was given to the movie, and everyone who had a cameo—including Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans, and Dafne Keen—was summoned up on stage. Feige told the audience to keep an eye out for what is predicted to be a drone show tonight in the San Diego skies.

Why doesn't Marvel Studios release more films on the weekend of Comic-Con? Evidently, a joyous custom commenced this evening in the birthplace of California.
